Your finance department, without the hire

We run the day-to-day money side of your business every month, so the books are current, the bills are paid and you always know where you stand.

What's included

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Customer invoicing and follow-up on overdue accounts
  • Bills entered, scheduled and paid on time
  • Receipts and expenses captured, with no shoebox
  • Payroll and remittances (if you need them)
  • GST/HST tracked and filed on schedule
  • A plain-English report every month
  • A clean hand-off for year-end and your tax return

What "hands-off" really means

Most of our clients don't want to learn bookkeeping, and they shouldn't have to. You forward bills and receipts, or snap a photo of them. We do the rest: reconciling every account, chasing late payers, paying suppliers on time and keeping your GST/HST in order.

At month end you get a short report in plain English. It covers what came in, what went out, who still owes you and anything that needs a decision. When year-end arrives your books are already done, so there's no spring scramble.

How it works

Three steps, then back to work

  1. Book a call

Tell us how your books are kept today and what you'd like off your plate. We'll suggest a fit and give you a clear quote.

  2. We get you current

If things are behind, we catch up and clean up first. It's a normal starting point, and there's no judgment.

  3. Every month, handled

We keep everything reconciled and up to date, and send you a short report on what came in, what went out and what needs your attention.

Why your inventory count never matches your books (and how to fix it)

If your year-end count always produces a surprise adjustment, the problem is usually the routine, not the count. Here are the usual culprits, a monthly routine that fixes them, and how year-end inventory valuation and obsolete stock affect your tax.

Common questions

My books are behind. Can you still help?

Yes. Catching up and cleaning up is one of the most common ways clients start with us. We'll get you current, then keep you there.

Do I need to use QuickBooks Online?

It's what we recommend and work in every day. If you're not on it yet, we'll set it up properly, and we can even look after the subscription for you.

How much does it cost?

It depends on how many transactions you have and what you'd like us to handle. After a short call we'll give you a clear quote. Our pricing is fair and transparent, with no surprises on the bill.

Do I have to be in Alberta?

No. We work with businesses across Canada, entirely online if you prefer.

Darrell is amazing, he has done an outstanding job on my taxes for my business and personal. I have sent coworkers and friends his way and everyone has been very happy with his services.
